Privacy policy

ArtCatalog-OMV is a personal, non-commercial application used by the owner of a connected Google account to synchronise a private art collection catalogue to a home server.

Google user data accessed

With the owner's consent, the application uses read-only Google Drive access to retrieve designated files containing catalogue information, artwork images, descriptions, signatures, locations and estimated values where present. OAuth access and refresh tokens authenticate the connection.

Use of data

Data is used only to synchronise and display the owner's private collection catalogue. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with unrelated third parties.

Storage and security

Retrieved files and OAuth configuration are stored on a privately administered home server. The gallery is accessible to people authorised by the owner via a private network and password protection. This public information website does not expose catalogue records or artwork images.

Sharing

The owner may grant access to household members or other explicitly authorised people. Infrastructure services such as Google and the public information website's host may process service-related technical data subject to their own policies.

Retention and deletion

Retrieved copies remain on the home server until the owner removes them. The owner may delete local data and credentials and revoke Google access through Google Account permissions. Revoking authorisation stops future authorised retrieval but does not automatically erase local copies.

This public website

The informational site has no account login and contains no analytics scripts or forms. The host may process routine connection and security logs.
